Sixth Annual IEI Golf Benefit

The IEI continues to make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of teenagers by educating them about insurance and managing risk. The proceeds from the Golf Benefit are used to educate high school teachers about insurance and prepare them to return to their classrooms with teaching materials on insurance and careers.

Registration

The cost is $170 per person. Cost Includes: Cart, Greens fees, Range balls use on the practice facility, Breakfast Buffet, Lunch, Awards Ceremony and transportation to and from the course.

Club Rental Information

It is $40.00 to rent golf clubs from the course. Clubs must be rented with your registration and paid for in advance of your arrival to the course. All rented clubs will be placed on your golf cart prior to the tournament start. It will be important to reserve clubs prior to your arrival as clubs may not be available the day of the event.

Dedham Country and Polo Club Dress Code

Strictly enforced, this dress code for both men and women will apply. All golfers must have collared shirts, shorts must be no more than 4 inches above the knees, denims and jeans of any sort are NOT permitted, and spikeless shoes are mandatory. Ladies, please no halter tops or tank tops are allowed to be worn at the club.

Dedham Country and Polo Club Course Description

Join the IEI for an extraordinary golfing experience at this member only country club and one of the Boston areas finest golf courses and facilities.

The Dedham Country and Polo Club was created on May 19, 1910 as a merger of two Clubs: one, the Norfolk Country Club (NCC) and the other, the Dedham Polo Club (DPC). The Club now has a first class 18 hole golf course, the only one in Massachusetts designed by Seth Raynor. The 18 holes remain the same to the present day, with only a few minor changes being made. Come and play this member only course that the IEI have made available for PCI members for this annual golf event.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received on or before October 5, 2007 will be refunded in the method of payment received. Cancellations received on or after October 6, 2007 will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be given on or after October 15, 2007. All cancellations must be received in writing to the Insurance Education Institute Office or to Corene Carson at ccarson@theiei.org.

501(c)(3) Information: IEI has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Services as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The IRS has also determined the IEI is a publicly supported organization as defined in Section 509(a)(1) of the Code. As a result of this determination, contributions to the IEI are deductible as charitable gifts to the extent that the donor receives no consideration.

Mission Statement: The IEI seeks to improve the understanding of insurance and risk management and their role in society.

Vision Statement: The Insurance Education Institute will be the leading organization educating young people about insurance and risk management. We will be an innovative, fiscally stable, well-managed and governed organization that serves as a conduit to young people, initiates strategic collaborations and builds ongoing meaningful relationships with donors.

IEI Key Objectives:

  • To educate young people about risk and how to manage risk through insurance.
  • To create, deliver and support teaching curriculum and materials for use online and in the classroom.
  • To develop teachers through the use of institutes, websites, distance learning and other mechanisms.
  • To increase the awareness among young people about careers in insurance.

IEI Key Innovations for 2007

  • Launching a new Institute at Cal State Fullerton
  • New Guidance Counselor Workshop at Middle Tennessee State University
  • Launch expanded career initiative
