WELCOME NEW CONTRIBUTORS
We are delighted to welcome four companies that have joined the ranks of IEI as new contributors. Baltimore Equitable Insurance, Buckeye Insurance Company, Erie Insurance Group, and Zurich Insurance Group have all signed on to help grow the mission of the Foundation through their donation. We thank each of these new contributors for their willingness to step forward and help educate our young people.
In addition, 26 percent of the 2004 renewing contributors have increased their 2005 contributions. We appreciate the support and the new momentum that those contributions are providing to IEI.
NEW PROGRAMS - IN SEARCH OF FUNDING
IEI continues to reach out to more high school teachers and students. At the recent board meeting, the Board of Directors approved three new programs aimed at ratcheting up the number of students being provided quality instruction in risk management.
The three new initiatives are focused strictly on educating teachers, educating students, and measuring the effectiveness of the Institute programs. We will create an online Institute for those teachers who cannot attend a summer Institute, partner with another financial services foundation to create a web-based insurance module for students, and conduct an impact study to measure the improvement in knowledge of students after completing an insurance course taught by an Institute graduate.

PLANS FINALIZE FOR THREE MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENTS
The Foundation's fundraising committee is busy putting the final touches on three of the organization's major fundraising events. These functions account for over $75,000 in net revenue for the Foundation each year.
The first event will be the 16th Annual Golf Classic in Phoenix Arizona on Saturday, October 1, 2005. We anticipate over 100 golfers teeing off on the Palmer course located at the Wildfire Golf Club, attached to the J. W. Marriott Resort and Spa. The Marriott will be the host hotel for the NAMIC Annual Convention beginning Sunday, October 2.

April is "Financial Literacy for Youth Month"
IEI is pleased to join forces with other organizations to promote "Financial Literacy for Youth Month" during April. This is a national opportunity to draw attention to the need for young adults to obtain training in such personal finance basics as money management, saving and investing and the use of credit.
