Contributions Running Ahead of 2004

Companies continue to ratchet up their annual contributions. In the early returns 23% of the contributors have increased their 2005 contributions and the net gain is over $7,000. We appreciate the excellent support.

We'd like to welcome ACE INA as a new general contributor to the Foundation. We also extend our thanks to those who have already increased their contribution for 2005:

  • De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance Company

  • Elmdale Farmers Mutual Insurance

  • Lititz Mutual Insurance Company

  • Mennonite Aid Plan of the Pacific Coast

  • Norwegian Mutual Fire Insurance Company

  • Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company

  • Remington Farmers Mutual Insurance Company

  • Ringold Mutual Insurance Association

  • Rockingham Group

  • USAA Foundation, A Charitable Trust

As always, all contributions, large and small, are greatly appreciated and go toward the Foundation's mission of educating tomorrow's consumers about risk management and insurance principles.

Network With Teachers Program Unveiled to Contributors

For many years, IEI has relied heavily upon Choice-Chance-Control as our primary educational tool for teachers. Teachers use this video and accompanying teacher’s guide as an aid in the classroom to teach high school students about the role of insurance in society. We are told that teachers view this educational kit as the single most useful tool for teaching students about insurance.

Choice-Chance-Control has been in distribution for 16 years. Since it is important for the Foundation to provide up-to-date and current insurance information to teachers and their students, we have developed a NEW educational kit for teachers’ use. This new teaching tool is called Risk, Responsibility, Reality and it’s currently available for distribution. More...
