Our
last newsletter was from our CEO, Jack Clanton.
Jack passed away on September 28 after a
courageous battle with cancer. We miss our dear
friend. On October 29, board member Angela Easton
passed away, also after battling cancer. We miss
Angela, who was 37 years of
age.
The
loss of these two special individuals touches our
community deeply, and it is the strength of the
many other contributors and tireless workers that
enables us to move forward in a very positive
way.
In
that spirit, Bob Harrison has agreed to step-up
his involvement with the IEI. Bob will work
closely with the board of directors and the staff
with a focus on fundraising and other areas that
require attention during this interim period. Bob
is well known to IEI, having served as the
Foundation's CEO, as a board member, and as a
regular contributor to special events.
|
| Bob
enjoyed a 33-year career with Indiana Lumbermens
Mutual Insurance Company. He retired in 1995 after
serving for 17 years as the company's president.
Bob also received the IEI Lifetime Achievement
Award in September. We appreciate Bob's support
and guidance, and hope to announce a new CEO by
the end of the year. |
